My kitty inspired me to make a scrapbook page. I haven't done this in so long! And I feel so awful. Out of all the events during Aidan's preschool year I've done one page. Bad Mommy! Well, this year isn't over yet. I still have time to finish Aidan's preschool book and start our 2005 scrapbook. What are the things I'm subscribing to now? Simple is best. I don't need to make a page that costs over $10. Use more graphic design than embellishments. I love
Simple Scrapbooks magazine for ideas. (It's hard to type one-handed! Lola's on my other arm!) Before I was also doing pages in 12"x12" format but I'm going back to 8.5" x 11". Not only it is less space to fill up, but I can run the paper through the printer! Less hassle! I was thinking before that the actual easiest thing to do would be to just put our pictures into a regular memo album, but that doesn't really capture everything. A picture maybe worth a thousand words but nothing compares to having something written about it that's heartfelt and personal. Scrapbooking just combines two things that I like doing - taking pictures and journaling!

(The most freakish thing happened just ten minutes ago. All the power went off for about 10 seconds, then turned back on and then immediately after there was thunder and rain started pouring! It lasted for about 10 minutes but it was very weird.)
