We had a good time this past weekend! Tiring but fun...

Last Saturday we went to watch STAR WARS with my Mom and Jeffrey. We enjoyed watching it but we were disappointed in how Anakin turned against the Jedi so quickly. And he killed younglings which was so terrible. But inspite of all this drama, Aidan found it to be BORING! About halfway through the movie he couldn't stop squirming in his seat and he would even lie down occasionally. I guess the story went over his head.

    LEGOLAND

On Sunday, we drove to Carlsbad to take Aidan to Legoland! I'd been wanting to take him there for a while now and it finally happened! Allan was just hoping that it wouldn't turn out to be like those Santa's Village commercials.

It turned out to be a day of fun for Aidan. The lines were pretty long for the rides, between 30-90 minutes. He got to ride on four rides, one of which was a roller coaster, and when he came out of it he was so excited. He said he wasn't scared at all. The rest of time we spent watching one show and making stops at these little areas where you can build with Legos. Aidan had a good time at this area called "Build and Test."

When you enter you have to check out four wheels and then build a car with it. Then you can race your car against other kids' cars.

We spent almost 8 hours at Legoland and I was surprised at how much energy Aidan had. We then went to our hotel and met up with Allan's Mom and Dad and Lee and Marie who decided to spend the weekend at Carlsbad too. We wanted to go swimming in the heated pool at our hotel but because I read that the weather would be cold I decided not to bring our swimsuits. :( We even went shopping for swimsuits so at least Aidan and Allan could swim the next day. Unfortunately, Aidan was in fact really tired and he woke up at 4:30 in the morning feverish and crying that his legs hurt. I felt so sorry for him.

    SAN JUAN CAPISTRANO

So we didn't get to go swimming and we decided not to head down to San Diego anymore. We took our time getting ready Monday morning and on our drive back home we stopped at San Juan Capistrano to look at the mission. It was beautiful. There were flowers everywhere and I loved the old Spanish architecture. We prayed and lit a candle in the old church for our baby and just enjoyed the scenery.

Update: Aidan feels much better now.
