I've enjoyed several conversations through IM these past two days. First my friend, Aimee, and I chatted. I knew she liked plumeria plants but I didn't know how much she really liked them because she says she has 40 of them growing from seed. I have two plumerias of my own that are just starting to bud (which I'm very proud of) and now I think I've caught plumeria fever. I just won six seeds on eBay of a kind of plumeria from the Philippines. Now I have to learn how to grow them. It will be a labor of love as the plants won't bloom until they are 3 to 5 years old. (BTW, plumerias are those trees you find all over Hawai'i and they make leis from the flowers.)

    Can't wait for the flowers...

Then I chatted with my cousin, Ces, from the Philippines and from that I made Allan buy me a webcam today because she has one too. I finally got to see her and my Ate Tess. This is really significant because the last time I saw Ces and her family was 1979. I was only almost seven years old then. I finally was able to talk to them too through the voice chat but I couldn't speak Tagalog and they were shy about speaking English. I wish I didn't lose my Tagalog speaking abilities. We have an "appointment" tomorrow so I can see the rest of the family and I'm so excited!
