    say hello to OLIE!

we have a puppy! we were just returning some stuff at Brea Mall and we saw him at the pet store. we got to spend some time with him and we decided to take him home. he's a pekingese, a lap dog. this is a quote from the AKC website:

The Pekingese is a well-balanced, compact dog of Chinese origin with a heavy front and lighter hindquarters. Its temperament is one of directness, independence and individuality. Its image is lionlike, implying courage, dignity, boldness and self-esteem rather than daintiness or delicacy.

they reach about 14 pounds so he's the perfect size for us. his face really reminds me of a Chinese lion like you see on statues and drawings. aidan likes to have olie chase him but he doesn't get too far with his tiny legs. he'll see aidan, run for a bit and then he'll stop and wait until he comes around again. olie doesn't bark but he whines. in fact he whined all the way home. i guess he was a bit nervous in the car. i'm thinking of getting a carrying bag for him so i can tote him around like paris hilton does with her dog :) hmmm...what brand of bag should i get? louis vuitton? just kidding, beez.
