I'm not exactly sure how Aidan came to like computer and video games so much. Is it that way with all boys? I try to limit his time with both and instead I tell him to draw or color but he says "it's booooring". I'm so disappointed! When I was little you couldn't stop me from drawing! I drew on walls, books! My favorite thing for my Mom to bring home from work was a ream of white paper and I would use each sheet front and back.

Aidan's been experiencing a lull in his gametime however because he's busted. He erased my file on Super Mario Sunshine which had 12 sprites...meaning about 4 hours of work (play, I mean :). And he didn't save all the tracks and cars he made me unlock for him on his Hot Wheels video game. I told him that maybe he wasn't old enough yet for a Gamecube and I was thinking of locking it up until he was five. But I'll see. He's been without it for two days and I think he's smart enough to learn his lesson.

In the meantime, other toys that have been neglected for a while have now become fun again! Like Legos! And last night I gave him a box full of markers and told him sit down and draw. I love seeing what he creates. He made two drawings of Olie and here's one of them. I labeled it so you guys can understand what he did because Aidan puts his own brand of quirkiness in his art.

Well, we'll be gone for a whole entire week so until then! Au revoir!
