Allan and I worked hard this weekend. This little area in the front of our house is finally looking OK. We scooped out the little rocks that we started to put as groundcover and we instead mulched the whole area. I added more plants - two gardenias, two azaleas, two more sampaguita - and Allan added the rocks in the middle which Aidan and I like to refer to as dinosaur eggs. ("Who layed the eggs, Aidan?" "Daddy did.") Finishing this project took three trips to Home Depot and about seven hours total. We worked Saturday morning, even through a bit of the rain, and finished this afternoon. Aidan even helped with scooping the little rocks. He's such a good helper.

Here's a kerchief that I knitted. There's just one yarnover done on each row to create that openwork close to the edge. Very simple but I'm still wondering if I'm doing the seaming correctly. I don't think I'd ever wear this so....does anyone want a kerchief?
