I keep thinking that today is Tuesday since Allan left for New York last Saturday night. I'm sad. I'm always sad when he's away and I worry alot too that something might happen to him on his plane trips. He said his hotel is located right across from ground zero but he told me not to worry because security's tight there. He's working hard and eating a lot of pizza. I can't wait 'til you're back home, Beez! And Aidan's excited to see what you bought for him.

I asked Aidan to write his name for me without my help...and he did it! Well, at first the "N" was backwards but he spelled his name right! And I had said previously that he can write some letters, but the truth is he can write all of them. It's true! I have it on video! Most of the time I think I have it so easy because Aidan learns so quickly. I probably haven't spent two hours altogether teaching him how to write letters and he just surprises me with what he already knows. Aside from that, sometimes when he talks it's like you're talking to a five or six year old. He'll pick things up from different places. One day we were driving and a stinky smell was permeating our minivan. Aidan said, "Maybe it's ditchwater." Allan and I were like, "Say what?!" Where did he learn that from? From an episode of Thomas the Tank Engine. And last Saturday when we were driving, the word "bankrupt" came up and Aidan said, "Bankrupt is when you have no money." So we asked again how he knew that and he said, "From Wheel of Fortune, you know!" Now he's asking about plus and minus so I'm starting off with the addition property of zero. Woohoo!
