Aidan and I had a pleasant afternoon today. Just before noon, Aidan and I went walking around at Michael's (we only bought Gummi Lifesavers) and then we hung out at Borders for more than an hour. Aidan roamed around the children's section playing with those truck books that have wheels while I looked through some knitting books and then we read six books together. Before we left I bought him one Dr. Seuss book and three Dora the Explorer books.

Then we walked over to the Nordstrom Rack next door and I saw some cute canvas Kate Spade bags on sale from $300 to $200...still out of my league. Aidan had picked up a foot-shaped nail file from the floor and a store clerk decided to engage him in conversation. He told her his crazy idea about how when I finish my knitting class that he'd tear it down and build me a new shape class. Then she asked him what his name was and he told her that his plain name was Aidan but his name on HotWheels.com is Aidanstar. Afterwards I told Aidan that some people won't be able to understand his ideas and that he should just answer plainly. But then I also don't want him to be afraid to say what he wants to say, crazy or not. Anyway, it's fun to hear him talk to other people besides me. Before we went home, we stopped at Carl's Jr. and Aidan got a surprise in his kids meal...a robot! He always asks if they're giving away robots and this time they actually were!

Also, I'm so excited about this new musical,
Bombay Dreams. I hope we'll get to see it one day. Listen to the music clips on the website!
