It was a busy week last week. We spent Sunday through Thursday at Las Vegas. Aidan is racking up his hotel stays as we lodged at both the Hilton Grand Vacation Club and Excalibur. I like Excalibur so much better than Circus Circus. We had the dinner buffet at Excalibur for Allan's birthday and I ate bowlfuls of menudo (the tripe soup kind). Then, we had a nice and yummy Thanksgiving lunch at the Sumaylo residence. We left Thursday afternoon and then on Friday morning we braved the mall to buy a wedding gift for Beverly's (remember my maid of honor?) wedding that same afternoon. We missed the wedding but we attended the reception and it was really nice. She married a pediatrician and we actually have yet to meet him except for the short greeting we gave when we arrived. Saturday was a brief respite from all the activities and all we wanted to do was sit around. We hadn't yet unpacked or done the laundry or anything. Then on Sunday we went to Giana's 5th birthday at Chuck E. Cheese's. That was the best experience we've ever had at a CEC restaurant...good pizza and Aidan got to play all the games he wanted to play without having to fight a mob of other kids. I can't believe Giana's five years old already and that makes me feel my age even more.

Well Monday and Tuesday finally comes around and guess what? We're all sick. I don't even feel like myself as I'm typing. I'm so light-headed. Yesterday I had to just grin and bear it and cleaned up what I could. The laundry's almost done and dinner's cooking in the oven. Aidan just woke up from a two hour nap and he's practicing being a doctor by taking Allan's temperature with an ear thermometer. I can hear him telling Allan, "You need to sleep and then you'll feel better." Aidan has the most energy out of all of us. Allan's been sleeping on and off the entire day. Well, I hope y'all are better than we are. I don't think we'll be going out again anytime soon.
