sing to me, baby

well, it all started with me looking for karaoke laser discs on ebay and i did buy one, but after brushing up on the karaoke scene i found out that ld's are a thing of the past. everything's either cdg, cdgm, vcd, or dvd. so yesterday allan and i went to sing young music world and got ourselves a new fangled dvd/karaoke player. it came with one mic and then we bought one more mic and three dvd's. the guy gave some discounts and all together it came to just a little over $200. we actually really like to sing and it's fun for parties so i think we'll get good use out of it. now we just have to build up our song collection.

i've been on ebay alot lately. i just sold some of my old mags and a new lip gloss that i never used (and i got full price for it! cool!). with very little work i made $40. of course that money never made it to the checking acct because i bought that laser disc and, don't think i'm weird, two dead butterflies in a display case. allan thinks it's morbid but i want to decorate with the butterflies at our new house. i'm thinking of having a filipino theme to our downstairs area and those butterflies are from the philippines.

we saw Hero already! allan and i were just browsing at this chinese store and he saw it as a vcd (only $12). we were warned by our friend, norman, not to put our hopes too high and, yeah, it's kinda true. like crouching tiger, hidden dragon the movie was visually beautiful and the fighting scenes were so artfully and gracefully executed. it just felt to me like so much more emphasis was placed on the fight scenes than the story. this is still a movie to watch at least once, maybe twice, or thrice!

can you believe it's march already? only three months 'til we move. only 3 months and 20 days 'til Aidan turns 3. eeek!
