i know haven't posted in a while. i'm saddened by some recent news and i don't really know what to say. i just want to wish everyone happiness.

we went to frank and son's tonight to look for the mcdonald's battlebots toys for aidan. there's a booth there that sells old, unopened happy meal toys at $1.25 each and all the profit goes to the ronald mcdonald foundation. well we found 3 out of the 8 bots and then we found two tonka trucks. baby-boy was so excited. he likes to look at the battlebots website now and browse through the pictures of the robots and he'll ask me to read their names.

i have another drawing up if you'd like to take a look (link at left under art). it's a fuchsia (plant) study done in pencil. i want to do a watercolor of it but i'm so afraid of color. i feel like i'm better at doing detail with pencil. well, i'll post that too when i get the nerve to do it. i had a hard time with this one because my fuchsia is in a hanging pot and it kept swinging around due to the wind. i love to draw and i don't know why i've neglected it for years. there's a real meditative quality about it when you're sitting and concentrating on form and shading. you almost zone out the whole world. i say almost because i can't neglect aidan. how can i neglect him with his constant "hey mommeyy"?
