Ugh...Sorry I haven't posted anything lately. My 7 listeners (homage to Rick Dees) are probably wondering what's happening. Well, nothing truly incredible so far. Last Saturday, probably the wettest day this entire year, we visited the Getty Museum with my brother for one of his classes. The museum itself was beautiful and so thoughtful in providing umbrellas for all the visitors. We saw iconic paintings, illuminated scriptures, Dutch and Flemish paintings, French drawings, Lange photographs....all of which revived my inclinations to take some sort of art class. We didn't get to see all of the Getty due to the weather but we do want to return especially to see the gardens.

Aidan has his very own laptop! Imagine that! Allan had an old one lying around and I pestered him to make it usable for Aidan so he could play his online games in the family room. He usually plays on my computer, but since it's in Allan's office, Aidan has to wait 'til Allan finishes working. It was getting bad because Aidan would whine and cry when he couldn't play: "I want to play HotWheels.com, Mommeeeee." So now he plays whenever he wants and he's really learning. He'll use Wordpad to type (gibberish, of course) and he knows to use "backspace" for erasing and he knows where to click to change the font color. He's pretty good at using either a mouse or a trackball. Sometimes I'll look over at him and I'm amazed at how he remembers to navigate through a website. He can find his favorite game on HotWheels.com by himself!
